Can you learn parenting skills online?
Is parenting too old fashioned of a skill to translate to be enhanced by an online version of a free parenting class? “Online” is merely the medium in which the information is delivered. While that description may bring about negative images of a correspondence course from years past, it is actually a natural progression in learning as it reflects are increasingly computer dependent society.
What are the benefits?
Participating in a free parenting class online has a great deal of benefits that a ‘standard,’ conventional parenting class would not offer. The schedules are flexible as you do not have to be at a specific classroom at a specific time. Your assignments are sent over email and you turn them in over email. While, of course, there are due dates, there are not the structural constraints a ‘normal’ classroom would impose upon a working parent.

Well, the wise guy answer that could be put forth would be…on the Internet! Actually, that isn’t a wise guy answer, it’s the truth. Run a search through Yahoo or Google and plug in free parenting class, and you will be sure to find a cavalcade of classes.
Any Caveats?
If any caveat had to be offered it would be to avoid ‘free classes’ that are only a gimmick to get you to pay for incredibly expensive courses and have no merit in and of itself. While, of course, there is nothing wrong with a free introductory lesson or a site that offers free material as an enticement to purchase other products, what one should avoid is sites where “to get this free class you must sign up for twelve paid classes.”
Can I Really, Really Learn Online?
You are only limited by those limitations you put upon yourself. Don’t make the mistake of having a narrow minded outlook as to what will or won’t work as an effective method of a free parenting class based on an older learning model.
